This is a truly BEAUTIFUL square, Chris. xo
It will certainly stand out in a blanket (the flowers are so pretty), just as Anne was a stand out on our forum. Time flies, hard to believe a year has already passed.
Chris I don’t know how l missed this one it’s beautiful. Such a thoughtful pretty square.
Sharon, what beauty!!! I love your multi coloured yarn. Your chain stitch squares are perfection ... and I'm curious about the bottom square in the top photo. Do tell :) ... xo
Hi, Gloria, That square is the only new pattern, called Woven Crochet Blanket.
Woven Crochet Blanket Free Crochet Pattern - Nana's Crafty Home
The pattern calls for two self-striping yarns worked alternately, which gives a very nice look. But I only had one variegated yarn with very short color changes, and one solid. Still worked okay for a small square. Lots of texture and nice thick cushy-ness. If I should happen to stumble upon some child-friendly bright colors in self-striping yarn, I might give this a try as a whole blanket someday.
Thanks for the link, Sharon. What a lovely warm square ... and a fabulous blanket it would make. I can definitely imagine that coming off your hook some day ... xo
Gorgeous pinks, Sharon. I like the sound of the new pattern - I've bookmarked it to try.
Delightful colours and patterns:))
Oh my goodness!! What LOVELY squares, Sharon....your yarns are scrumptious!!
These are from our MEMBERS' PATTERNS - both on p.4. I'm afraid I got distracted and lost my place a couple of times in the Harris Tweed square and came up with a new pattern ... hahaha And I misjudged the number of stitches for the Houndstooth Check (didn't swatch ... tsk tsk) and had to upsize with a crochet border. Oh well, they're both warm and cozy ... xo
HARRIS TWEED HOUNDSTOOTH CHECK
..and they're both really pretty. We can't be perfect all the time!
They both look good to me..... I particularly like the colours in the Houndstooth check :))

This item will allow Knit-a-Square to pay our wonderful co-team workers – the Gogos (grandmothers) – to sew the squares received from across the globe into blankets for the children. $5 US will pay for 4 blankets to be stitched together.
