Gosh, that was fast - you're a whizzzzz! They're really pretty and look substantial + warm ❤️
I'm sitting at my computer so saw your question immediately ... hahaha Most Tunisian crochet is extremely warm and cozy ... xo
Both sides of your squares look really good, Gloria. They also look really thick and cush-y, so I'm sure they will be warm.
These are really pretty, Glo....the colours blend sooo well and they look nice and thick and squishy, too. :))
hi,
what is a PJ ?
Chitra, a PJ, or Plain Jane, is a square that is knit or crochet in one colour only ... xo
This reply is for Sharon - I don't know if we ran out of space for replies to the original comment but there isn't anything to click under her response. I'm definitely going to get one of these hooks now I've watched your video link - thank you.
Hi, Patricia, Yes, I think we ran a thread that was too long, so no reply was allowed.
Here is the link to a video that shows a bit about double ended crochet:
How to Crochet with a Double Ended Hook - YouTube
I'm not sure what companies sell interchangeable knitting needles worldwide, but some of them might also sell crochet hooks that fit onto the cables. There are several brands here in the US that have a system like that, but I'm not sure if they sell internationally. If you already own the knitting needles, you might check that company brand to see if there are crochet hooks that match.
Patricia, I’ve just ordered a 5mm double ended Tunisian Hook from EBay. Knit Pro Prym Addi - 25cm- £3.75. I’m hoping that an 8” square will just about fit, given that there’s a hook at both ends.
Good choice, Marion. My favorite double ended hook is 10 inches - 25 cm long. Longer ones are great for larger projects, but for an 8"/20cm square, this one is perfect. I find that the corded or interchangeable ones are better for me since I like to have something on my needles and hooks while traveling - as a passenger :)). The longer hooks just get in the way ... xo
Thanks, Marion. Looks like there's going to be a cro-knitting revival coming KAS's way.
(By the way, did you see my waffle blanket a few pages back - made thanks to you!)
