I imagine you are all anticipating a month full of the blues!  Well think again.  There are many, many ways to make blanket squares for boys.

For instance, I started with a mauve square.  Then I made a yellow square.  And finally, a red square.  To bring out each of these beautiful colors, and to add that masculine touch, I simply added two blue stripes to each square.

I love your sense of humour Gloria and your squares of course :)) x

Tee hee ... thanks, Christine ... xo

A very entertains start, Gloria, to this month's theme. I must admit I was rather slow in the uptake and had to read the Maeve square caption twice before the penny dropped - a great twist! Thank you too for featuring my granny square in your introduction.

A SUPER intro, Glo!!!!!!

I can't wait too see all the 'boy' squares that our talented members produce. Colour, colour, everywhere....YAY!!

Oh Glo, you are sooooooo very funny.........and I am sooooooo very pleased that you considered me in the very first square......mauves/purples being my other fave colours......lol.

I think there is still work for you to do..........those stripes are still a little wide.

I have started on my first square....and guess what.....no blue in sight....aren't I mean???!!!.....lol.

I am so glad you like it, Bev.  I remembered that you said that besides pink, you also liked mauve/purple.

But, hm-m-m-m, you think my blue stripes are still too wide/????  Well, okay, you might be right.  I'll try to skinny them up a bit more maybe ... LOL xp

Such a great intro Gloria, looking forward to this months challenge, so pleased there is 31 days in March :-))

Great Intro to March Gloria, I have two boys myself so I might try and get some inspiration from them and I love rummaging through my stash to find something I haven't used in a while. Happy Knitting/Crochet/Looming everyone. :)

Gloria, you have created such a wonderful, unique intro for us this month and you are speaking to us all 'face to face' in our homes across the world, without leaving your arm chair! Certainly plenty of inpirational ideas..... Thank you! x

A blanket in Aran yarn. Boys are fond of blue, just like someone else I know.......

Oooooh, Christine, thank you!  This is absolutely gorgeous!  The varying shades of blue (how did you know I would adore them? tee hee) remind me of gentle waves on a beach (another of my favorite things :)  I am sure this will become a little boy's treasure. xo
