Hello dear friends! I am so excited to share with you a recent email I received from Ronda.....it brought tears to my eyes reading it and I felt so privledged to receive it. As I was reading it to my mom, she said she wanted to start paying for some of my parcels to S. Africa! This is such a blessing, as I am going to be taking on squares from a couple of additional people and mailing to S.A. for them! So, here is the letter and I will be doing a blog post later today, including the letter as well. But I wanted all of my friends on the forum to see it first!!
Dear Mary Anne
We have opened several parcels from you in recent weeks and thank you sincerely for your wonderful generosity and your prayers for us and for the many thousands of orphaned and vulnerable children in South Africa.
We are, indeed, preparing for a long and cold winter this year in SA - in fact it has already started to make itself felt as the night temperatures drop dramatically and there is a strong chill in the air !
Your card with Longfellow's words is so encouraging, thanks for that too. It has already become a keepsake for us !
We could not manage any part of this project without the kindness and support of people like yourself and we are truly grateful. As we wrap little ones in their blankets and hold them to our hearts, we are actually passing on the love and hugs and prayers of every contributor. The outpouring of love and concern prompted by the Knit-a-Square idea has been overwhelming and we give glory to God for its great blessing on all who are involved, and for its continuing growth and reach.
All volunteers on the KAS team in Johannesburg send their thanks to you, Mary Anne.
