LET'S TALK SHOP 2021
The KAS Shop is an integral part of keeping KAS alive to provide help for the children in South Africa. The funds raised through purchases from the KAS Shop are greatly needed to help cover expenses such as The Barn rent, the postal collection charges, fuel for the KAS van and the stipend for the Gogo's for each blanket sewn up.
A massive outgoing from the KAS funds is the mandatory customs and handling fee of $3.75US per parcel. This is a charge the South African Customs and Excise enforce no matter what size of parcel is collected. Therefore it is an ongoing regular outlay, and it is vital this proportion of expense is supported to keep our crafting flowing to where it is needed most.
Donations are most welcome whether they are as you can afford them, or by setting up a monthly donation. Both are easily arranged by pressing the Donate button to the right of the Main Page in the Forum, or by making a purchase from our well stocked KAS Shop full of fundraising departments.
Remember 100% of every KAS Shop purchase goes directly to KAS......and every penny counts!! Thank you X
I've just made a donation.
Yes, it’s outrageously high. I’m making a donation as well.
I´ve just donated some money , too.
Donation made. :))
Auntie Nellie, thank you for the message. Donation made. xo
Today I am stopping by to offer all the generous folk who used the checkout facilities over the last few weeks a very big and sincere virtual hug XXX.
The shop takings and donations hit an all-time high which is just tremendous!! I am beyond proud of every one of you. The statistics are amazing and I'm sure the benefits of your generosity are a relief to those who handle the KAS purse strings.
It is also pleasing to see so much mail arriving regularly at The Barn, so as always I need to stress the importance of every penny to help keep the motor running for distributions, and pay the Office rent.......Please stop by the KAS Shop which can be found across the top right banner on every page - I'll be there to say "Hi, and Thank You Very Much".
Thank you for the reminder Aunt Nellie! I haven’t been able to contribute much to this month’s theme, but I can contribute in this way, so I have just popped into the KAS shop to make my donation.
You're a grand lass Chris, thank you.... I gave too, Kx!
You can now download a pdf of 35 different knitting patterns for squares in booklet form which can be printed out as many times as you require. Sophia Minakais has given permission for these to be used by our KAS members.
Perhaps while you are in store paying your customs handling fee you could pick yourself up a copy.............and get clicking!
