LET'S TALK SHOP 2021

The KAS Shop is an integral part of keeping KAS alive to provide help for the children in South Africa.    The funds raised through purchases from the KAS Shop are greatly needed to help cover expenses such as The Barn rent, the postal collection charges, fuel for the KAS van and the stipend for the Gogo's for each blanket sewn up.

A massive outgoing from the KAS funds is the mandatory customs and handling fee of $3.75US per parcel.    This is a charge the South African Customs and Excise enforce no matter what size of parcel is collected.   Therefore it is an ongoing regular outlay, and it is vital this proportion of expense is supported to keep our crafting flowing to where it is needed most.

Donations are most welcome whether they are as you can afford them, or by setting up a monthly donation.    Both are easily arranged by pressing the Donate button to the right of the Main Page in the Forum, or by making a purchase from our well stocked KAS Shop full of fundraising departments.

Remember 100% of every KAS Shop purchase goes directly to KAS......and every penny counts!!    Thank you X

WOW!!!  What a fabulous gift! Thank you to  Sophia Minakais for these beautiful square patterns.  And thank you to our Andrea for putting them into KAS format and popping this super booklet onto our KAS Shop shelves.

I'll bet Aunt Nellie will be knitting up a storm right along with the rest of our creative crowd!!  I wonder how many of these lovely patterns we will see in our themes.  Go knitters, go ... xo

I printed my copy yesterday and am thrilled with the very varied selection.    An impressive gesture from Sophia indeed.   I will certainly be trying quite a few in the Colours of the Months coming up, it's right up my street!    Kx

Thank you for the wonderful collection of patterns!  I took it to our local print shop today where they bound it into a booklet that will be easy to use.  I'm looking forward to knitting several of the patterns.  Thanks again to Sophia and KAS!

Don't you feel there are a lot of new and interesting patterns and techniques to try....?   I've done a few little sample pieces to try 5 or 6 out already.    Terrific variety to add some texture here and there.   I think it's a smashing addition to our store.

I have been to our little shop and paid some rent and support for our right hand man.

Thank you soooo much to Sophia for this amazing gift and thank you to Andrea for popping it into the shop for us. I'm off to have a 'gander' at the patterns.  :))

Thanks Aunt Nellie for the heads up.  :))

Woo Hoo...what a FAB book!! I have just been checking out all the patterns. This is a SUPER addition to our little shop.  <3

Hey, hey, hey Crafters - have you seen the abundant mail that reached The Barn yesterday - a mega-huge-colossal amount which cost the beastly sum of 15,000 Rand (over 1,000 USD) !!!!!!!...............AND there is another very large batch waiting for delivery very soon - OUR SHOP NEEDS YOU!!!!

Please, if at all possible, can I urge you to stop by the KAS Shop - pop an item or two into your basket to help support and complete this chain of love and warmth in South Africa............... and of course collect your FREE 35 knitted square pattern book too!

Thank you.   Take an elbow bump from me too on your way out the door.   With love and many Thanks.....Auntie Nellie xx xx

Aunt Nellie thank you so much for this reminder.

I wish I knitted to enjoy the book...I bet there will be a crochet book in the future.

"35 Squares Make A Blanket"

available in our KAS Shop now.........

Hi-de-hi everyone!    My goodness the mail is still rolling into The Barn at an alarming rate.   The volunteers in South Africa have been push to, and beyond, their limits for weeks now - What a tremendous amount they have opened and sorted....!!!

Applause, applause too that so many distributions have been achieved!   Hooray! the children will be feeling the love and warmth through our giving and making.

This does however mean the need for supporting the shop remains as important as ever.     There is still great need for help in keeping the motor running and coverage of the PO expenses too.

Please too remember, when in store that the 35 Squares Make A Blanket booklet is FREE to download for everyone.    When I have taken time to put my feet up and enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of cake, I have read through all the marvellous design patterns.   What a selection!    Why not push yourself and try out a different design from your usual styles....??

Ta-ta now crafters.   Please do stop by the Shop and give me a little wave on your way through the checkout - I promise to wave back if you do!!!

Auntie Nellie xx xx

What an amazing amount of parcels have arrived and been sorted! It’s great to see the commitment to the children from the volunteers in the Barn and from all the crafters across the world!

So frustrating that Ronda has to pay for each parcel she receives from us!

I posted 3 parcels today, so I’ve just popped into the KAS shop to help pay Ronda’s PO expenses for my parcels. I  must have just missed you Aunt Nellie, we could have had a cuppa and a natter :))

Oh I could see you petal.... .. . but you couldn't see me (I don't miss much. ... Lol)    Thank you, you're the kind of kind, reliable and thoughtful customer we value passing through our checkout ❤️

"CreateCare Global has set itself two tasks. The first is physical: to bring hope, support and comfort to children for whom poverty and loss are everyday tormentors. The second, and in our view equally important, is to spread the message to the world."
