LEGS & WINGS, FINS & SLITHERY THINGS: ANIMALS ABOUND - JULY THEME 2017

This July we are going to celebrate animals of all types and sizes. They can be on squares, be a blanket, be accents on handwarmers or beanies, and my favorite a toy.  Can't wait to see what walks, flies, swims or squirms onto these pages.

Your crafting is always SUPERB, Anneke. Your flair for combining colours.......amazing!!!

This is one STUNNING blanket.  :))

Thank you so much Bev! Combination of bold and soft colours, a "challenge" on its own :)))

It's beautiful, Anneke.

Thank you, thank you Val. xoxo

I belIEEVE I am having as much fun as the children can.

First of all after the many horses I have made, my adult children asked me "What about some legs for the horses?" Really??! The children are the 'legs'.

 Ready..set.. go!

And for wings, I finally faced the challenge to imitate the South African Air Force Cheetah airplane. Spots and that hilarious tail. Then because I had stumbled into making small spots too I picked the Japanese Airlines plane that looks like a fish, with scales. The smiley face was an accident, too.  I like the alliteration of 'purple plane' so that is why the purple plane. And naturally I chose to do Kulula green pickle plane because Kulula humor makes me laugh out loud, for real.

When I noticed the tail, double-sided even, was not really visible in the photo I took another photo of this likely one time project. Closeup please?

Deborah, these toys are wonderful. I am smiling and imagine at "play" with them as well Thanks!!

Wow!!! As always, your attention to detail and fab imagination, has created WONDERFUL toys for the chilldren, Deborah. You are AMAZING!!!!

Deborah,

Your talent to create these marvelous toys amaze me.  Creative and educational.  I love you idea that the children are the horse's legs.  So true!

These are all marvellous. The children will have so much fun with them.

Wow, these will be much fun for the children!!! Wonderful toys to play with!

Well I tried .... intarsia is NOT my thing, the quality doesn't improve, think I will stick to the basics. -LOL. Elephant Double Square.

What a brilliant square (oblong) Intarsia is incredibly difficult to do so you were very brave to try it.
