Congratulations Knit-A-Square! 769 more blankets to warm the children. Sorta warms me, too.
Dare I ask? Where are we going next?
Wonderful! Well done to everyone who took part and thanks to Linda for keeping everything so well organised. All those children snuggled up and warm!
WOW isn't that marvelous and I have just come here to add 210 squares knitted into 6 blankets for the children and singlets and stationery sent by the lovely ladies of the Scots Memorial Uniting Church Mission Club.
Great news. All those lovely squares!!!
Hi, I've just joined the group. What size squares would you like me to knit and/or crochet?
Hi Sarah-Jane, lovely to have you with us. We welcome knit or crochet squares and aim to make them as close to 20cm (8") as possible. There's more information here under Frequently Asked Questions http://forum.knit-a-square.com/forum/topics/frequently-asked-questi.... As you're in the UK you'd be very welcome to join the UK Group (or any other that you fancy).
All colours, patterns etc are fine and there are some ideas both in the KAS Pattern Book and under Members' Patterns. We love to see photos of your work if you care to post them, and you will find the Photos section inspirational. Each month we have a theme just for variety but that's entirely optional.
Look forward to hearing from you again.
Linda, here is a message from Karla Bystrianska. I´d like to inform that in the morning I sent a parcel with 2 soft toys, 1 blanket and 20 squares. xo
The Donate button provides 2 options:
Because of PayPal/banking fees, KAS asks that your donation be 5USD [or more]. Anything less, means your donation is eaten up with fees. Thank you!
Our goal is to remove the monthly deficit that Ronda and her team have to deal with. You can:
1. Make a donation whenever you are able.
2. Sign up for an ongoing monthly donation (subscription).
3. Shop at the KasShop!

"CreateCare Global has set itself two tasks. The first is physical: to bring hope, support and comfort to children for whom poverty and loss are everyday tormentors. The second, and in our view equally important, is to spread the message to the world."
Our thanks to CreateCare Global for supporting the Square Circle Forum and helping to spread the wonderful work that KAS does.
