June 2017

So many things to see in your day from sunrise to sunset. Each of us in this world -wide KAS family will have different things we see during our day. Any of them can be inspiration for a square for a child. Don't forget the PJ's, they can be made in the colours of your day. Here a few ideas to give your creativity a start !

There is the sunrise to welcome the day.

Colours of the ocean...

Colours of sunsets...

Autumn shades....

and finally some yarn left from my earlier 'Sweet Peas' blanket....

As a Plain Jane maker, I love self patterning yarns, as the squares are no longer plain :)))

LOVING all your squares, Chris. The colours in each square fit your descriptions, perfectly.

I like to use variegated and self patterning for the same reason, but my yarns tend to be colours together that have no rhyme or I will have to have another search!

Chris they are all beautiful and just as you say they are. I think I specially love the ocean, they make me feel as if I am in the deep blue sea.

All beautiful squares Christine. I see the ocean and smell the sweet peas again. Thanks,

Beautiful squares, Chris - great colour combinations and so beautifully neat!

All so beautiful! I especially love the ocean colors squares.

Lovely squares, Chris, and the self-patterning yarn is magical - tried to pick a favourite and decided it was all of them :))

I'm doing well this month - how early is this for me to join in!?

The top pairs of hand warmers remind me of autumn leaves and the bottom pairs make me think of my namesake flower - the heather in bloom on the moors.

Lovely colour combos Heather :))

You're obviously on holidays,

Four great pairs of handwarmers....of course, no prizes for guessing that the top pairs are my faves....pretty, pretty, pretty!!!!

Lovely! The heather pairs are like sleeves of a dress. So so pretty.

I found a fascinating pattern in one of my books for a spiralling hexagon, so I gave it a go. Summer daisies in the centre - a lot of these around in the UK at the moment.

Then I got a bit "hooked" on hexagons, so I made some more summer flowers.

The challenge now is going to be incorporating these,  somehow,  into my blanket with the squares!

But you know me - I love a challenge!
