Thanks, Patricia.  Yes!  And she is every bit as sweet in person as she is online.  I am so glad I got to give - and receive - real live hugs.  We had a fabulous couple of days touring NS.  She's only been gone 3 days and I miss her - and Andrew - already ... xo

LOVE your squares, Glo!! What pretty yarn this must have been in the ball.

I am on  a determined effort to whittle down my wool stash, particularly the short lengths and small balls, with crochet squares an ideal way, so here is my blu/yellow  collection.

Perfect colours for the theme, Susan. I think several of us are on the same mission as you to reduce our stash, but I find it very hard to resist buying replacements straight away!

All of them are just SO pretty, Susan!!! I always look forward to seeing what colour combos you will do it so well !!

Great grannies, Susan.  Like others, I look forward to seeing your colour mixes.  These are all beauties ... and so much blue to love :)))) ... xo

WOW!   There have been so many striking and beautiful creations posted that I hardly know where to begin.

Every pattern and texture will be so appreciated when it reaches South Africa.

I had my sister-in-law here for a visit last week, and we had a wonderful time visiting and knitting.   Here is the result of our "opposite" blanket -- solids and variegated in primary colors.

Once again, the camera has distorted colors so that the reds look like purple and the purple looks like mud.   In person it looks bright, not muddy, so the children will see it that way, too.

Wow!! That looks SUPER, Sharon!! LOVE the idea of a variegated border....extra pizzazz!!

Sounds like a very productive and enjoyable visit all round....hahaha.

What a fabulous way to spend your visit, Sharon. Your blanket already looks pretty bright on my screen so will be positively glowing under the South African sun!

Sharon, you and your S-i-L are a winning team.  This is so striking and I, too, love your choice of variegated for borders.  This will be a terrific bright spot for a dear little one ... xo
