These squares made me laugh - I'm not sure why, but they really amused me!
Oh goodness me - that song! It was 40 years ago at the start of this week that I was 18 and had a family party in the local village hall. My Nana was up and dancing to this - that is until she fell over and could hardly get up for laughing at herself!!! Nana was a big lady like I am but she always had a sense of humour.
Aww Rebecca, thanks for sharing this fun memory. Your Nana sounds like she was a lot of fun.
It seems you and I are almost of the same vintage. I hit a new decade this year and so I must make the most of my remaining time as a 50's woman.....hahaha.
Oh Bev, these are lovely!
Like Patricia, I’ve got happy memories of chickens from my childhood. We had chickens when I was a young girl, my father’s idea was to have a ready supply of fresh eggs and sometimes a roast chicken…… the eggs were always welcomed but the chickens never made it to the table! We (my brother, sister and myself) had given each chicken a name and refused to eat any of them….. and my mother refused to cook any….. even if my father had been able to kill them!
So, happy hens and family! :))
My Granny would also never allow her chickens to be killed, cooked, or eaten. I remember once at primary school we were asked to take in an egg box for some project and I had no idea what that was - our eggs came in a basket from Granny!
Five GORGEOUS hats, Karen!! LOVIN' all that delicious pink. :))
Five beauties Karen :))
You've smashed it again, Karen (as they tend to say on reality shows!). Beautiful.
So pretty, Karen. And the thought of 5 more warm little heads just adds to their beauty ... xo
Susan, no theme would seem complete without some of your gorgeous grannies. These are wonderful!! While I adore all of them, I do feel particularly drawn to the 4th one down. Hm-m-m-m ... wonder why ... haha ... xo
