I'm not familiar with Jimmie Rodgers or the song so I couldn't join in ... but I enjoyed listening to it. Beautiful squares, Gloria - I'm sure Bev will be proud of you.
Oh Glo, the lady doth protest too much...I think you secretly enjoyed working with this GORGEOUS colour and were quietly sobbing when you found you had finished the ball.....hahaha. I do have a good imagination. :))
I love the honeycomb TC, too...it has a great texture.
Although this recording was a little before my time, I definitely know it, so can only assume it was a song my mother listened to. I was slapping my hand on my lap in time to it........Charlotte just looked at me like I was a little crazy.....hahaha.
Oh Bev, I think your Ray fell "in love with a dreamer" ... hahaha
I'm glad you remember the song. I was beginning to feel like a dinosaur! However, since I was 6 years old when it was written and 9 when Jimmie Rodgers recorded it, perhaps I am ... LOL ... xo.
Glad you did get to the end Glo as the fruits of your labour are gorgeous! Honey comb stitch is one of my favourites too……in any colour :))
The song was new to me too, sharing related songs in this discussion is a bonus :))
Beautiful shade of pink you’ve chosen Gloria and the squares are fabulous.
Delicious colour and superb crochet stitch Gloria X
Amy, what a special pair of squares! I love the different designs and ideas our creative stitchers come up with ... xo
