Hi everyone...

Your messages have given me more courage and inspiration to go on and on helping the needy and the destitute children in our country.  Making and sending your squares and other items is what drives the Knit-A-Square project and keeps us going here in South Africa.  I have organised a group of women who combine the squares which makes our job easier and helps us to reach the people we are trying to reach, quicker.  We are touching a lot of the lives of the poor and desititute with your squares and your love.

Love you all

Wandi

Hi Wandi,  Lovely photo of you, Ronda and Erin.....does this mean you had a minute to rest before tackling the rest of the packages ?   We're so pleased you are willing to help the children.

Hi Linda...  Absolutely!  We have lovely tea breaks!!
I was just wondering if you get snow along with the cold in the winter. We in NW Ohio, USA are having a snowstorm as I type with blowing and drifting snow. Husband going out now to plow our lane so we can get out. We have to pick our daughter with Autism up for the week-end. Do you have many children diagnosed with Autism in SA?

Hi Jan.  We only get snow once every 10 years or so and even then it's normally a very light snow.  Yes, we do have children diagnosed with Autism in South Africa.  In fact there is a school in Dobsonville, Soweto called Sizwile which is specifically for children with Autism.  Perhaps we can visit them one day and do a distribution there!

Hi Wandile!  So great to hear from you.  You and Lindiwe are in our prayers for your health and safety as you work so hard to help the children.  Bless your caring heart and hands.  We love you for helping us reach out to them!
alright! so glad that you have come to join us in our little cozy corner of the internets. now you can see first-hand how much we all love you.
Hi from Canada Wandi!

Making the squares is the easy part. Staying strong and hopeful during the distributions is a bit harder, I think. You all in SA inspire us to keep going and we very much appreciate all of your tireless efforts.

Thanks ladies...

We get so much joy from distributing the blankets to needy children - we think YOU'VE got the hardest part!!

Hi from Scotland Wandi. Lovely to see you join us here after all the effort you put in at 'base camp'.

Love

Hello Wandi from Philadelphia in the USA! I'm so glad to "hear" your voice through your posts here on the Internet. I admire your strength and committment to the children of South Africa. We are all working together to get blankets and hats to the children. So wonderful when people from every continent can work together for a common goal!
Wandi we love hearing from you and Lindi!

Hi ladies

Isn't it wonderful that we can all work together for the children...!

"CreateCare Global has set itself two tasks. The first is physical: to bring hope, support and comfort to children for whom poverty and loss are everyday tormentors. The second, and in our view equally important, is to spread the message to the world."
