hello

Hi, I am a 35 year old mother of a very lively 3 year old  boy. I've been meaning to start crochetting again for a while and reading about this charity has given me the impetus I needed. I was also born and bred on the West coast of Africa so this is close to my heart for lots of reasons.

Hopefully I'll be posting a package soon.

Maybe I'll even make some new friends?

Eva x

  • Hello Eva

Great to have you on board! Look forward to seeing you in the future x x x
  • Hi Eva,

Welcome to this great community! Anything that you manage to find the energy to crochet at the end of the day will be greatly appreciated! I have real problems concentrating at the moment and get very tired but find knitting squares on the diagonal not only addictive but also they knit up so quickly that before I know it I've done several. There's nothing more rewarding than using bits of odd yarn to make something that is sooo needed.
If ever you need any tips, info or advice there will always be someone on the forum who can help. Happy crocheting!
  • Welcome Eva!

Glad to hear you are picking up your crochet hook again. It's wonderful that you've found KAS. When my kids were 3 I was always happy for a few minutes at night to sit still and rest up a bit ;)

You'll make tons of friends here, it's a friendly place.
Would love to see some photos of your work when you have time to post them.
    • Its mainly because I've given up work to be at home that I'm looking forward to picking this up again. I've just found my balls of scrap wool in the shed so I'm planning on making a start tonight. Tomas keeps me busy through the day although he is at school now, but somehow all the spare time i thought I'd have is taken up with running errands for my husband!
  • Welcome, Eva
    nice to have you
    what items do you crochet?
    • I just to crochet blankets and squares for blankets. I never used to do anything too hard as it Iused this as a way of winding down after a hard day!
  • Hello Eva,
You're very welcome and I'm sure that you will soon make lots of friends. Anything you make will be very appreciated and it would be lovely to see pictures.
I do hope you enjoy being a part of this very friendly and supportive community but be warned - it's very addictive!
