I am delighted to host another KAS monthly and there is something for everyone in this month's topic, Whatever your level of skill, let your imagination run riot with your choice of yarn, stitch, colour, pattern, texture, motif, and design to create squares, beanie hats, hand warmers and toys,
Here are just a few ideas to get your needles clicking, though members from the southern hemisphere will have their own interpretations of their gardens. Be inspired by the colours of nature. Remember that Plain Janes are the foundation of KAS blankets and we would love to reflect a riot of colour in the garden with both self-coloured squares and picture squares.
Help to create a garden of delights to bring colour, cheerfulness and warmth into the children's lives.
I look forward to seeing your contributions on the Forum.
We've got pyracantha and cotoneaster and holly so lots of lovely red berries to brighten up the garden, Susan.
So many lovely squares from you this month, Susan. I’m loving all the colours. Great squares from your friends too.
BEAUTIFUL brightness for your dull days, Susan!! I don't think I have ever seen a Rowan tree, so thanks for the pic. :))
Your Square is so beautiful, Marion, and your stitching so neat. What size crochet hook did you use?
Thanks, Susan. I used Aran weight yarn and a 5mm hook. In this pattern I turned after every round, which I don’t normally do. I found that it keeps the square shape better and I like the ridges it creates.
This is exquisite, Marion.
I love everything about this square Marion, it is perfection!
VERY pretty, very sweet, Marion. :))
Marion that’s absolutely beautiful and as usual perfect.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful square.....!
