Hi K-A-S Friends.

Many of us have enjoyed a good chuckle or interesting moment in the Share a Yarn and Furry Friends discussions, haven't we?
Being the continually evolving community that we are; as of this moment, these two discussions shall become one.

Welcome to FUNNY and FANTASTIC!

Please feel free to share a pic, a funny story or maybe a link to a video about...... anything.
We'd love to know what puts a 'smile on your dial' and a 'song in your heart'.

Spending the  weekend at our son's means 'lots of funny'.....with their three dogs and our very spoilt little miss.

Here is a couple of pics of George (female), one of their dogs. She is gorgeous and she has a sister, Max. They are a poodle/maltese cross. Sorry about the 'red eye'.....did my best to fix it.  :))

Here she is, just 'chilling out'.....lol.

Beautiful and I can just imagine her fur....very very soft.

From my Knonsense file....

THE YARNAHOLICS AFTERLIFE

Where do Yarnaholics go, when their days are done?

Whether they were good or bad, they all found knitting fun.

They all shared an addiction and they’re asking “Was that sin?”

For each one had a giant stash, in bags, or box or bin.

They tremble at the Pearly Gates, - will Pete send them up or down?

Will he bless them with a smile? – or greet them with a frown?

The lucky ones, who lived life right, he’ll grant eternal bliss –

A place in Heaven’s Yarn Shop – no reward could out-do this!

Every colour of the rainbow, and lots of KASfriends too,

No cooking, cleaning, housework – just knitting squares to do!

But down below, where things are grim, a horrid fate awaits.

Satan says, with evil grin, “Behold this is your fate!

This tangled stash of mountain-size, you must sort out and roll.

You lived a life quite naughty, and your punishment is droll”.

And after an eternity, when the chore is done,

The nether-region dwellers think “At last we’ll have some fun!

We’ve paid the price for our bad ways, and now we’ll make a square”

They contemplate the balls of yarn, just sitting waiting there.

But they are very wrong, you see, for as hard as they may look –

In that horrid place below, there’s not a needle or a hook!

AP/2013

I remember this poem, Anne. You sure have a fantastic way with words.

I had better be good, as an afterlife with no needles just doesn't bear thinking about.

Thinking of you, Jeanne and hoping your tree is surviving any onslaught from your fur babies.  :))

That's a rather clever excuse doggie boy !

Hello. Sorry for the absence...health issues, some new ones just being sorted out.  Actually our cats didn't even try for our tree...SO surprised this year. Hubby and daughter got a real tree (from a tree farm) and it was soft to the touch, no prickles, possibly a blue spruce though our one on the front lawn has prickly attitude to spare. This one, regardless, was lovely and soft but so many small branches the cats didn't even dare try to approach it. Hubby even, for the first time in recorded memory, did not, I repeat NOT, wire the tree in place...and it stayed up.  I am still in shock about that one, lol. :)

Glad your tree stayed up this year, Jeanne!  With cats about, that must have been a real shocker :) And I am sorry to hear you are having health issues :(  Good luck with getting them sorted and please feel better soon ... xo

I'm sorry to hear you have not been well, Jeanne. Here was I thinking you must have been on holidays at your daughter's house.  :)) I hope it is all sorted soon. xo

Hope you are on the mend Jeanne ...we have missed you xo

Love it Anne a real chuckler  !!

Ooooh, that brings back memories of last year when my two Border collies failed to greet me ecstatically at the front door and I just knew they had been up to mischief! Yes, you've guessed.....the newly decorated tree had 'fainted' all over the floor and the culprits had hidden themselves behind the sofa!!

PS They survived and are currently lying on my feet as I type :)))

"CreateCare Global has set itself two tasks. The first is physical: to bring hope, support and comfort to children for whom poverty and loss are everyday tormentors. The second, and in our view equally important, is to spread the message to the world."
