FEBRUARY THEME

FRUIT and FLOWERS

Over the years this has been a regular theme: a sign of freshness, beauty and hope, bringing colour and warmth to our KAS kids.

I confess to being a hopeless

knitter. Crochet is more in my line. Fortunately here at Knit-a-Square we are all welcomed with open arms

Combining both techniques can also be fun, sewing appliqué crochet onto a knit base for example, or appliqués

onto a crochet square.

Please don’t worry if a little veggie sneaks in. It will be welcome among the fruit and flowers.

Finally we would have no fruit, flowers or veggies without the help of the sun, rain and friendly insects.

Don't forget that February's colour is ORANGE

Another day, another group of hats! It's been said before, Karen, but you really are a machine.

More sweet bonnets. You must knit in your sleep, Karen. I keep thinking of all those warm heads come winter in SA this year.

More warmth and love for the children, Karen.   The orange really brightens things up, no dull hats from your needles.

Wow, more amazing beanies.  I am drawn to the two toned ones.

Keep up the good work.

Taking a break from the double strand hats for a few weeks - I have other projects to get on with + try to finish .... ✔️

Orange goes so well with so many colours and you have certainly proven that with these GORGEOUS hats, Karen. My fave is the 'oranges and lemons' one, top right.

I’m amazed Karen they just keep on coming.

More amazing hats! :)

Karen, children wearing these hats will look like small suns. I love all of them !

I have been working a pink and grey bunny for a baby shower and just had to make this one full of color and ready to go through some gardens.  After all, it is the year of the Rabbit.  Haven't done this pattern for years, and was happy to revisit it.  It is looking for some tasty applique morsels Bev...

My goodness, Amy, I remember your sweet floppy-eared bunnies.  I always loved seeing them in our themes.  I can only imagine the joy this one will bring to the waiting arms of a child.  It is absolutely adorable ... xo

LOVE the colours and colourways in this CUTE flopsy bunny, Amy.

Like Glo, I loved it when you used to make them for our themes....all the pretty colours....and just so friendly and huggable as is this one.  :))

CREATECARE GLOBAL

"CreateCare Global has set itself two tasks. The first is physical: to bring hope, support and comfort to children for whom poverty and loss are everyday tormentors. The second, and in our view equally important, is to spread the message to the world."

Our thanks to CreateCare Global for supporting the Square Circle Forum and helping to spread the wonderful work that KAS does.
