Patricia, I’ve had yarn with white hidden in the centre, my last blanket in fact! Your blanket looks lovely, no one would have known if you hadn’t said, it’s another stunner! :))
On one occasion, there was so much white, I cut it out and used it in something else:))
I did wonder whether to cut it out, Chris, but I had no idea how often it was going to happen so I could well have left myself without enough yarn to finish the blanket. I think I made the right choice as overall there were three large areas and a couple of smaller ones. At least the extra lengths were in the Colour of the Month!
What a BEAUTIFUL surprise, Patricia!!! I LOVE how this blanket has turned out and can't imagine it being any better in any other way. It's perfect!!
This is stunning, Patricia! This turned out to a blessing in disguise, especially perfect for this month's theme :)
I didn't even know until now that such a thing happens where part of your yarn comes out to be in a different color, unless, of course you are buying a variegated yarn :P. I will watch out for something like this from now on.
What a beauty! Such gorgeous colours and the lurking purple has turned out fine. I love a cheap mystery ball of wool.
Sometimes you gotta just go with the flow Patricia. Working with what we have is part of the fun. You say imperfections in the wool......-...... I say unique in your blanket. VERY nice X
Six squares to go with some ones that I made in November, which will eventually be a blanket. Stripes of two different kinds.....diagonal stripes and stripes using different knitting stitches. The bottom ones are all the same bright yellow gold, although my camera chose to make the one far left a slightly different shade.
Bev, these squares are super ... such supremely square squares! I love how you've added stripes in one-colour PJs - a great idea ;) Your colours are gorgeous because my screen is showing me a beautiful sunny yellow and stripes in a delicious shade of blue. Please don't tell me it's not blue ... let me live my dream ... hahaha ... xo
Hahaha...it's teal, Glo, so it is A shade of blue. :))
I agree that the self-striping PJ is a definite winner - I don't think I've seen anyone do that before, Bev.
I love them all Bev, the yellow squares are gorgeous and I’m struck by the amazing neatness of the edges of the striped ones :))
Really, really, really neat knitting Bev - stand out squares indeed. Great colour choices too X
