Oh my goodness, Kiran, please don't be so hard on yourself! This is a lovely square. It's warm, it's a beautiful colour and has a super texture for a child to touch. When several of It's friends surround it, it will be a "honey" of an addition to a blanket ... xo

You've done a GREAT job of your honeycomb square, Kiran!! It will be a welcome textural experience for the child who receives it. Do you have the pattern, please?....and was it 'difficult' to make?

Thanks Bev! The pattern was very easy in fact, here you go:
Cast on odd number of stitches
Row 1 (RS): all knit
Row 2: k1, *slip 1 purlwise with yarn staying in the back, k1, rep from *, with k1 at the end
Row 3: all knit
Row 4: k2, *slip 1 purlwise with yarn staying in the back, k1, rep from *, with k2 at the endRepeat the 4 rows until you reach the desired size.
Have fun. Its just little tricky to keep track of whether you are on row 2 or 4.

Here are some of my "green" squares, with "sun" in the middle pattern, as I see every time I look at them. I am definitely more pleased with these squares than my previous honey comb one ;)

Wonderful bright squares, Kiran. Just what I need today. It's been overcast and drizzling ever since I woke up, so I'm happy to find these sunny squares. They're all beauties, but I'm drawn to the blue one, and the bright yellow and red ones. Thank you ... xo
