On the morning of August 31, Wandi and Themba loaded up the KAS Van and made a delivery in Protea South.

She distributed 45 blankets and the children at the Powerful ECD Centre sent back this very moving Thank You poster.

Thank you for these wonderful photos.  They really tell a marvelous story.

Thank you for sharing those. That last photo with the little girl with a huge smile and dimples - that makes it all worth while! Back to the knitting needles...

Everybody looks snug and warm in their blankets.

And their Thank You card is as colorful as their blankets.

Job well done.

Athele loaded up the Bluebird, (her little car) and headed north to Pafuri for the first time in two years.  She has made distributions here in the past for KAS and provides us with incredible pictures of the children and the residents.

One of her beloved teachers, who just turned 100 lives here in Pafuri.

One hundred year old Kokwane Noria Makuleke, my teacher and other mother. Delighted with her hat and blanket from KnitASquare.

This village is located on the Limpopo River near the Zimbabwe and Mozambique borders. There is no running water.  No sewage, just an outhouse. Some people have electricity, if they can afford it, yet everyone is well and enjoys their lives.

Here are some of the beautiful children that treasured their new KAS blankets.

I see one of my friend, Yasuko's, squares in the 3rd photo down - the one with the felt animal sewn on. I'll take screen shots and send them on to her - she will be so happy to see where her square has gone.

Love all the bright coloured blankets too!

Thanks for letting us know.

Isn't it great when we recognize a square we made or a friend made in a distribution?

Athele, you are one intrepid lady.  Thank you for the fabulous pictures.

More photos from Athele's distribution in September.

The butterfly toy being held by the little girl in the second photo used to belong to my daughter. She'll be thrilled to see it with its new owner.

Precious photo, chuffed for her, X

CREATECARE GLOBAL

"CreateCare Global has set itself two tasks. The first is physical: to bring hope, support and comfort to children for whom poverty and loss are everyday tormentors. The second, and in our view equally important, is to spread the message to the world."

Our thanks to CreateCare Global for supporting the Square Circle Forum and helping to spread the wonderful work that KAS does.
