DECEMBER FUN - What is your Dragon Name?

With the flurry of activities that come along with the month of December - the mountains of cookies to be baked, the tree to trim, the gifts to purchase and wrap, we all need to take a moment for ourselves.

It's good to know that we can enjoy a relaxing month of self-indulgence with the "UnChallenge" - grabbing a few minutes for ourselves to unwind and do just what tickles our fancy with hook or needles.

Here's another stress buster for December - kick back, have a cuppa and a giggle while you figure out your Dragon name, and please report below.

Thanks to a certain Square Angel for finding this game.

  • Here we go Anne...even dragons can help out! (and even they get pestered by cats)

      • Much as I'd like to look like that little orange fellow I think I'd look like this one: (minus the cigarettes if that's what those are...or are they birthday candles???)

    • Oh I am sooooo tempted to make this dragon scarf or hat...yeah for me! (KAS kids come first but still....)

      • And then there's stuff I will never attempt in a million years but they are gorgeous just the same.

  • From one of our Christmas Crackers ;

Why are Christmas trees bad knitters?

Because they keep losing their needles !!  (boom, boom!)

    • Groan....okay, you asked for it Pam....

Two lobsters sitting knitting on the ocean floor. One says in exasperation:

      "I can't purl!"

      Second one says:

"Nobody can purl except an oyster."

Pun fact: yarn shops do well in close knit communities.

When a knitter gives you advice, listen. Treasure those little purls of wisdom.

Old lady to her husband when he got her mad:

"I'm not going to slip a stitch just to stab you,

but if you see me decreasing start running."   heh heh heh

What did the invisible man make when he learned to crochet?

An afghan like you've never seen!

And please, don't ever try this!

So this lady was driving down the highway crocheting as she drove. A highway patrolman noticed her and began pursuit. He drove up next to her car, rolled down his window and said,"pull over!" She replied," no it's a scarf."

      • Thanks Jeanne for this bit of December fun. I've come down with a rotten cold and have spent 3 days in bed. This did a lot to cheer me up.

        • So sorry to hear this, Valerie :(  Keep your yarn handy and feel better soon. xo

          • In 3 days in bed I've managed to tail and butterfly almost 300 squares. it was the kind of task that I didn't have to really think about, didn't demand too much energy and made me feel satisfied afterwards. Unfortunately the cold is still here.....so there will be a few more tails added!!!!
