This month the square Heart Award goes to

Jeni Nesbitt from Glasgow, Scotland!

AKA, Harrison's Mom

Jeni has been a devoted member of KAS since 2009.

She started the wonderful Yarn-aholics thread here on the forum which is so therapeutic for all of us!

Jeni makes beautiful hats, toys and garments, but her most extraordinary talent is taking the smallest bits and bobs of yarn and turning them into works of art.

Jeni has made many of these gorgeous blankets. Recently, Yumi, a new KAS board member in South Africa found a shelter for older girls in need. This beautiful collection of "Jeni blankets," was given to them for warmth and comfort.

If that weren't enough, Jeni also spreads the word for KAS. Here we see her beautiful blanket which won first prize at the spring Horticultural Fair!

Here is a particularly wonderful photo from Jeni. She decorated her parent's Christmas tree with KAS squares!

Dear Jeni,

thank you so very, very much for all that you do to brighten the lives of the children of South Africa!

Well done Jeni - your blankets have been consistently inspiring and it's great to see them being so well received in South Africa. I still don't know how you do it!

Jeni certainly deserves this recognition - thank you Laurie for capturing her talented contributions so well!

Jeni, I've looked through your blanket pics in the past, and I am amazed at your creativity! Each one is special and unique. I still don't know how you manage to get them through customs though? You really deserve this award! Congratulations!!

Jeni your blankets are always amazing.  I just love to see them on the forum. I am so happy you have won the award this month. It was really nice to read that a pile of your blankets went to a shelter for older girls. They will love them to bits and treasure them for life ! Congratulations !

A well deserved award Jeni !   You have set a marvellous example of sharing and caring for those less fortunate.  Your fuzzy blankets provide not only warmth and comfort but an extra softness that the children will appreciate in their harsh environment.

Congratulations, Jeni!  A well-deserved recognition of your unique handiwork!  I've admired your blankets for years now and am so happy that they have found such a great home in South Africa.  Kudos to Harrison, too, for being such a great listener.

Congratulations, Jeni, for the well-deserved honor!  Your beautiful blankets are always such an inspiration and it is an honor to be so acquainted with you.  Thank you for all your efforts on behalf of the children!

Congratulations Jeni!! I love your Christmas decoration idea!

Congratulations on receiving this award!!! You are indeed a worthy recipient.  :)) I have just been checking out and reacquainting myself with all your beautiful handiwork....so many wonderful, wonderful blankets and items of clothing. LOVE your fuzzy rugs and use of different sized squares...always to great effect.

Congratulations Jeni for achieving all that you have for the children.

Congratulations, Jeni!  Your long-term commitment to KAS certainly makes you deserving of this award.  For years now, we have delighted in seeing photos of your beautiful work, which no doubt has changed many lives.  We have also enjoyed watching Harrison grow up!  Will you soon post another photo of him?

Congratulations Jeni, Well deserved:)
