Kathy has made a lovely pattern for a child's jumper.

Cindy knit a beautiful jumper following Kathy's pattern.

Pattern:

Match needle size to yarn used

For example:
7.5mm = chunky yarn
7.5mm = 2 strands DK
6.0mm = aran

Front:
Cast on 45 stitches using thumb method
Plain knit 10.5inches (27cm)
Cast on 33 stitches at beginning of next 2 rows = 111 stitches
Plain knit 4 inches (10cm)
Next row:
Knit 55 stitches, cast off stitch number 56, knit to end = 110 stitches
Knit 55 stitches only for further 3.5inches (9cm) – (count stitches the first few rows so as not to knit over the cast off stitch) cast off
Rejoin yarn and knit remaining 55 stitches for 3.5inches (9cm)

Back:
Same as front but ignore casting off stitch number 56! (just keep on knitting the sleeves until they measure 7.5 inches (19cm)

To make up:
When joining the arms, reverse the stitching for 2inches (5cm) at cuff end (both sides) so when turned back the join is on the inside.
Leave an opening of 10inches (25cm) for the neck opening (not including the notch)
