Nothing is more fun than a chance to get together with some of our Kas-sisters!  Since Gloria was passing through on her way out west, we managed to arrange an afternoon at the mall in Newmarket.

What a blast! We traded lots of hugs, lots of laughs, lots of tips on knitting and crocheting, tips on the best way to send parcels.... and lots of KASchat.

Wendy made a video ( edited and posted by her daughters Maddie and Amelia Murray).  By the way, you will notice that everyone is looking very industrious except me - I had good intentions but Wen and Glo absconded with my yarn so Glo could give Wen a lesson in Tunisian crochet.

You can find the video here

Here's the group - Christine Steeves, Wendy Lewis, Andrea Palmatier, Anne Powell, Gloria Grandy (Anne Connor wasn't able to join us as she was away for the weekend).  Gloria's wonderfully patient husband, Don, was here too but found mall-wandering preferable to crocheting.

We are planning another get-together on May31 when Linda and Dave Maltby will be here.  We are hoping Anne Connor will be able to join us (can't wait to meet her).  If anyone is within driving distance of Newmarket, Ontario, and can join us, please message me and I will send you details.

How LOVELY!!!!!!!  I can't wait for the next episode (May 31) guys look like you had soooooo much fun.  :))

Thanks for posting, Anne :)  It was a super afternoon.

If anyone is within walking or driving range (I won't add flying ... LOL), I highly recommend joining this wonderful group of ladies.  Also, if you are fortunate enough to be within "visiting" distance of any of our KASsisters, in Canada or elsewhere, a planned get-together to meet each other could be a lot of fun :)  Ask me ... I know ... it was !!!!!

How delightful to see you all - in motion! It must have a been a wonderful occasion, just wish some more of us could have been with you!

A very special occasion, what a thrill to meet up with KASfolk who are kindred spirits!

So glad to hear about this...I'll see you soon Gloria!

(and yes it would be a flight for me from here to NewMarket...Ontario is that danged big)

Anne and Gloria, just wonderful to see you all together.  Info for other folks, Canada is a big country, however we usually have to travel to see family.  My parents used to travel across Canada every second year in order to see their grown-up children.

WOW a real KAS get together !!  I am surprised with the size of Canada you were all able to do it. That is really exciting, it looks like fun !!

Good for you ladies. I can hear the laughter.

A funny thing happened on the way to Alberta ...

I was so excited to show my family the photos of my visit with my KASfriends that I just copied and pasted the link into an e-mail to several of them ... including Kevin.  You know ... Kevin ... my youngest son ... the one I'm making that blanket for as a surprise for his birthday.  Since he is my only Leafs fan, he figured it out pretty quick ... LOL

Luckily he's a big boy now and didn't mind me spoiling his surprise.  We had a great laugh over it :)))  xo

Oh my goodness Glo, that's hilarious!  I'm sure glad he was a good sport about it.  Looking forwards to seeing you today!  I don't have a smartphone but if you do then perhaps a photo of us will get posted here too eh?

You are all so lucky, I would love to do this in Australia. How lovely!!!!

Here I am in Dryden with my wonderfully warm and witty friend Jeanne!!!  What a fabulous visit we had over coffee and H.C. :)  We talked about family, KAS, sightseeing, magic loop, loom knitting, crocheting, and much, much more!  There never seems to be enough time to fit everything in.

Here we are saying "goodbye".  Strangely, I feel like I'm leaving someone I've known for a long, long time.  Thank you, Jeanne, for sharing some of your time with me ... xo
