Bringing colour and comfort to 91 more vulnerable children; Botshabelo Community Development Programme.

On July 31, Athele was finally able to make this distribution planned for earlier in the year.

She writes on Facebook:

More of the 91 darling children of the impoverished Botshabelo Community in Magaliesberg, warmed by the loving hands of all those who labour so that KnitASquare can bring colour, warmth and comfort to the vulnerable children of South Africa. Some real masterpieces in here.

Please enjoy the photos and let us know if you see some of your work, or the work of someone you know.

Celebrations......second blanket down (pinks and purples) is mine. Great to see so many kiddies with their blankets

The first one in this batch of photos is my Symphony of Fire Blanket.

Well named Patricia.  I love all that fiery  orange.

I always love how the colours look even bolder under the African sun.

You are so right, Patricia.   The colors do look better there.

Oh, I'm so excited!   I think the second picture in this group is a blanket that I made, using Caron Cakes yarn in shades of orange and yellow, bought online during a sale.   Always so fun to see our own work being distributed.

CREATECARE GLOBAL

"CreateCare Global has set itself two tasks. The first is physical: to bring hope, support and comfort to children for whom poverty and loss are everyday tormentors. The second, and in our view equally important, is to spread the message to the world."

Our thanks to CreateCare Global for supporting the Square Circle Forum and helping to spread the wonderful work that KAS does.
