Welcome to the Blanket Room for 2020.
We hope you will enjoy the variety of squares/blankets/designs
that will be featured throughout this year.
If you spy some squares or even a blanket or two that you have crafted
please do let us know.
There's nothing like a group celebration. :))
We rejoice in your talents and generosity.
Here's a little taster of what you might see....
So, please keep your eyes peeled for your wonderful crafting and know that each and every square or blanket you create, is much needed and much appreciated.
Praise and many thanks to our sewing team who take our individual crafting, mix and match squares and sew these beautiful blankets together.
I'm just wowed by all the colors and textures here. I wasn't a big fan of the ripple design before, but now that I see these with all the colors and the variegated yarns for a few rows between solids, I'm a big fan. The variegated yarns seem to add a 3rd dimension, at least in the pictures.
Thanks for all these fun, lively striped blankets, Patricia. I love the striped squares, but almost never make any -- I think I should work on that soon.
Thanks also for the nod to sunny Arizona. It has been chilly here lately (although not by the standards of my Montana relatives), and yesterday we had clouds! Shocking!
some stunners here!
Thanks for these. I've zoomed in closely at a fair number of these as there is a lot of stitch variety going on - very nice textures indeed.
Love the varied use of stripes. Fantastic collection!!
More beautiful blankets with stripes -- thick stripes, thin stripes, diagonal stripes, straight stripes -- I love them all! And, of course, I love the grannies, too!
Ooooh, thank you, Patricia! These are all incredible. In the blanket below the 'snowman' blanket, I see a swing knit Christmas square. I did make a couple of these, but I don't think that's mine because I don't recall putting a border around it. That is a very interesting pattern, though, so I just may try it again. Thanks for the reminder ... and the inspiration :)) ... xo
Actually that's one of mine, Gloria. The border is because the square came out too small!
Super, Patricia! I knew others had made them too ... just couldn't remember who. I think your memory is much better than mine ... haha
