Welcome to the 2019 KAS Blanket Room. We invite you to view many of the wonderful blankets that are made from our crafters efforts. Eight inch (20 cm) squares and completed blankets make their way to the KAS Barn and will eventually be featured on this discussion page. We hope that you might see one of your creations.
Many thanks to the crafters, gogos and sewing warriors that sew the squares into blankets.

Oh my goodness, thank you! It strikes me seeing so many complete blankets, how many hours and hours of dedication to crafting they show. Hats off to the beautiful wool and stitches used. TERRIFIC! Gonna have a few tears now. ❤️
Yes Karen, feeling especially warm and fuzzy for the 17 blankets in the first batch that have been distributed by Athele in Clarens, today. Just imagining their wonder at receiving a new blanket and all the gorgeous colour each one contains.
Thank you Bev for this gift of color and warmth .Many blessings for Athelé’s distribution specially this time of the year. HAPPY CHRISTMAS !!
What fun. I love the one with all the triangles!
Wow these are all so pretty! Love the stripey rainbow ones and the ones with the zig zag/triangle patterns, so eyecatching!
I will be starting a 2020 Blanket Room discussion soon, but in the meantime, here are some blankets from 2019......I see Amy's beautiful 'super square' in the second blanket and quite a few beautiful butterflies in blanket #1 and fruit in blanket #3 from Marion Davies, if I'm not mistaken.
You may have seen some or all of these blankets in distributions posted before Christmas, but they are certainly worth a second look.....so beautiful. :))
Some beautiful blankets here, loving the Butterflies blanket and the granny square ones and the ones with stripes, very eyecatching.
This note below, from Ronda, accompanied the above blankets and there are more blanket pics that came with this note....
We received some lovely boxes full of blankets from Croatia and have tried
to indicate which ones they are in the pics by posting a CROATIA sign in two places - I would think the following (at least) 10 pics in each case would be theirs ... but with so many people involved in everything, we DO lose the plot on details and I APOLOGISE !
Athele pounced on them all, however, so rest assured that they will feature
in her Christmas day distribution in Clarens which is a picturesque village
close to the Lesotho mountains and is normally the first place in South
Africa to get snow when winter arrives !!! Lesotho is a very poor (former
homeland) area of South Africa and so we are delighted that Athele is
planning a trip there.
She is doing SUCH a wonderful job with her pics and reporting back, I am
sure you will agree !!
Excellent blankets and super news of distribution plans. Thank you X
