Welcome to the 2019 KAS Blanket Room.  We invite you to view many of the wonderful blankets that are made from our crafters efforts.  Eight inch (20 cm) squares and completed blankets make their way to the KAS Barn and will eventually be featured on this discussion page.  We hope that you might see one of your creations.

Many thanks to the crafters, gogos and sewing warriors that sew the squares into blankets.

Happy Viewing

To Bev-colleagues       Can you you kindly send me details of ****favourite yarns you prefer  so I can look into this?  Alpaca/blends -  the halo can easily be snipped.   Merino blend if I can the right price?  Thickness?  DK, Aran, or Chunky (Bulky in American yarn. Which is the best thickness, ****3 or 4?  I can only do aran- bulky myself or Super Chunky?  Although I am hopeless with figures, I can spot a bargain or find the best discounts or freebies.  It is easy for me to navigate the computer (while it still works) and liaise between agencies.  I don't want to overwhelm you with information, but my good friends can attend to details, technology, sales, sums, contacts.           If there is anyone in China, I recommend buying lots of casein yarn but never to order overseas due to horrendous shipping tax.  (I may know someone).       Merino /blends - or anti-tickle yarn  - these are must-haves.   ****Caron soft is lovely yarn but takes longer to dry - is that problem in Africa?   Lightweight and easy care yarns are the most appropriate.      I try to support local business as there is only one market stall left selling haberdashery.  Perhaps I could approach the lady concerned.  One day, she might like to work part-time from home, by taking orders  liaise with one maybe two) people.  This way she keeps her modest business going until an opportunity arises for it to expand.   ****Does anyone know where I can get a small amount of merino to practise with please?  £2.99 is the cheapest practical one on the Internet - no hurry.  Not che ked, preparing next parcel UK.  ,   Creative Carol "retired"?     ****I have some ordinary small sewing needles - any use, but I am enclosing 2 darning needles for the Go-Go Girls to be forwarded to Africa.  Must dash

You're absolutely right, Bev.  The creativity and talent of our contributors never gets old!

Another of Judes darling teddies, too :)  And Chris will love the greens in the second photo (if I'm not mistaken, green is her fave color???) ... xo

I thought Chris's fave colour was purple.......lol.

I hope Patricia spies her 'ocean' c2c blanket.  :))

Oh Bev, you could very well be right.  My memory is good, but it has a tendency to leak ... haha

I'll bet Chris can straighten me out here.  And I promise I'll try to remember this time.

I know I'm BLUE.  I know Bev is P ... PIN ... you know, that other color ... LOL ...xo

Oh dear, Glo, if you can't bring yourself to say pink, my other fave colour is purple......hee hee hee

Yes I have, Bev, thanks, but the colours look so different in this photo that I wasn't immediately sure it was mine!

I know you thought green was my favourite colour Glo, you mentioned it before, and I didn’t like to say that it wasn’t, but as you asking........ I love all shades of purple, from lilac and lavendar to deep purple.

Having said that I love most colours........ including green :))

What a Sweetie you are, Chris :)  Thank you (and Bev, too :) for correcting me.

We really do need to keep these things straight.  That's why I so often "casually" mention that blue is my favorite color ... just in case someone missed it ... or (gasp!) forgot it ... hahaha ... xo

My second blanket (green and yellow) featured from the same parcel; this has never happened.  I guess it's still Christmas for me.

Awww, thanks Bev.  That's easy.  Purple was my Dad's favorite color.   And to be honest, that other "P" color was my Mom's :))) ...xo

Who would like to start their Sunday morning with some more glorious pics?.......ME......lol.

Me too, Bev. Beautiful blankets.
