Welcome to the 2019 KAS Blanket Room.  We invite you to view many of the wonderful blankets that are made from our crafters efforts.  Eight inch (20 cm) squares and completed blankets make their way to the KAS Barn and will eventually be featured on this discussion page.  We hope that you might see one of your creations.

Many thanks to the crafters, gogos and sewing warriors that sew the squares into blankets.

Happy Viewing

More lovely blankets from Croatia........

Oh THANK YOU CROATIA!!! Just look at all that beautiful blue :)))  What an adorable teddy, smiley, mushroom, and those three little friends (not sure what to call them;) in the centre panel.  The children are going to love these blankets ... xo

So excited to see all those blankets! Pics of those from Croatia will make the ladies so thrilled, but to see others from around the world is so inspiring!! What an effort to post all those pics, thank you!

Thanks Estelle, I love the colours you have chosen to surround my smilie face square, lovely to see the meercats, and to know where they are going. It's always thrilling to see my squares in the blanket room. Thank you for all your wonderful work, sorting and putting the squares together, also to Bev for posting all the blanket pictures.

I thought maybe they were meerkats, Glo?? They are so cute!

I believe you're right, Bev.  They really are cute.  And created in such an appropriate setting.  What talented ladies they are ... xo

Thanks Bev for posting these photos. The meerkats and smilie face are from Marion Davies. I joined the smilie face and added one of Judith Sullivan’s famous teddies to it and my friend sewed the meerkats together. The meerkats have arrived safely in Zimbabwe waiting for fuel to be distributed to an orphanage.

The turquoise squares above the smilie face are from Janet Warmoth from Estonia. Not sure who made the crocheted ones...Ronda gave them to me so I combined them to make that blanket.

Thank you for sharing that info, Estelle. I thought I had seen those meerkats before. I wasn't sure if they were part of the collection from Croatia or not and was hoping to be corrected if I got it wrong. Apologies to Marion. xo

Beautiful blankets from 5th Feb....I spy with my little eye, a gorgeous owl from Amy...can you see it too-hoo?????

We start with a very bright and cheery blanket from Kathleen.....

More beautiful blankets from 5th Feb.

A very special thank you to Leigh Ann, Barbs, Wendy, Liz and Linda (to name a few) who take those few of our squares that may need a little extra attention to fit into blankets. Just a reminder to us all that nothing and no one's crafting is wasted, when we knit, crochet or loom for KAS.  :))

"CreateCare Global has set itself two tasks. The first is physical: to bring hope, support and comfort to children for whom poverty and loss are everyday tormentors. The second, and in our view equally important, is to spread the message to the world."
