Squares are made and  sent to KAS from all over the world. When they arrive, they must be sorted, packed into bundles of 35. Then they are given to the Gogo groups and KAS volunteers to be made into beautiful blankets. They are returned to the KAS workshop and finally travel in the KASmobile to be distributed to the children who need them.

This is why we are jingling our bells early in the year. We want our Christmas blankets to be ready in plenty of time for Christmas

Give free rein to your creative talents. You can make PJ’s, striped or appliqued squares.

Hang the decorations

Trim the tree!Father Christmas and his elves,

Rudolf the red-nosed reindeer,

polar bears

and penguins, they can all come to the Christmas party. There’s room for everyone.

Make this Christmas the best yet for KAS’s 10th anniversary.

AND of course all toys are welcome to share the fun.

The PoM this month is the Alphabet crochet square.

Instructions and graphs can  be found in the KAS pattern book.

Here is an "N" for NOEL to start you off.

Welcome to Christmas in April. Santa and his elves invite you all to make lots of Christmas squares so that they can make a record number of lovely blankets in time for Christmas 2018.

Here's a PJ to start you off:

FABULOUS intro. Valerie......LOVE a bit of the ol' red, green and white, with a splash of silver.  :))

A bright and cheery, red PJ to get our month started, in one of my fave crochet patterns. xo

I plan on doing some solid-colour 'Chrissy' squares myself.....as soon as I finish my March WIP.  :)) I have the yarn.....just need the time....hahaha.

Perhaps a few of my Snowflakes could make a guest appearance! Lol xxx

Definitely. We'd love your snowflakes.

Beautiful C2C in red.

I'm inspired already, Valerie!   great intro and that bright red square is so cheerful and energetic.   Love it!

Your into is so inspiring Valerie.  Lots of potential for the month.

What a way to start Christmas with an Easter celebration.  Sort of wraps up both ends.

Super intro, Valerie.  I'm feeling festive already!  I love Christmas, and this is a great way to get started and be inspired :))  Just thinking about the fun the children will have when they are wrapped in a beautiful blanket sporting Christmas colors and designs makes me smile!

This pattern has been sliding off the needles of several of our crafty crafters :)  It's one that fits into any theme.  I think it really zings for Christmas :)))

Yes, it's a really festive pattern. Not being a knitter, I'm in great admiration for those who make this pattern. It looks so complicated.

A very festive fun square :))

Wow Glo!!!! Looks lovely in a Christmas variegated....definitely on my to-do/try list.  :))  xo

Another lovely square, Gloria, and that yarn is perfect for this month.
