Thanks Anne.

Sometimes you need to see it in writing to realize how ridiculous the PC rules have become. No wonder we tend to isolate ourselves from everyone but friends and family, there's just too many ways to 'offend'.

I thought I would share this little verse  about a grumpy rabbit on Christmas Day....

I'm sick as a parrot, I've lost my carrot,

I couldn't care less that it's Christmas Day!

I'm sick as a parrot that I've lost my carrot.....

So give me some lettuce AND GO AWAY!!!!

I'll take the lettuce, Chris :)) Don calls me a rabbit because I love salads so much.  The crunchier, the better! xo

I love a salad, too.  :))

How nice to see that some of you are dropping in to read or comment in this discussion :)  I hope you are enjoying your holiday preparations and not getting too frazzled by the crowds!

I thought I would share another giggle with you by way of ... you guessed it ... music.  I come from a very musical family so my focus does tend to lean in that direction.

This is a song that both my grandsons absolutely loved to play over and over and over and over and over when they visited me at Christmas.  I know for sure that they love me, so I really don't know why they found this song so appealing ... hahaha

Perhaps they were trying to tell you that you were drinking too much eggnog, Glo.......lolol......though I can't imagine that being the case.

I can recall my Mum singing the first few lines of this song to me quite a bit when I was little......probably in response to me telling her over and over again what I wanted for Christmas......lol.

hahaha ... Bev, I don't believe I ever drank too much egg nog (don't like it ;), but I won't deny occasionally acting like I did!  So ... you could be right.  Then again, it could have been the blue and silver candles that went so well with my 'wig' ... tee hee hee xo

Gorgeous Bev. Thanks and 1986 I can remember that year.

Oh Glo that is my sons all time Christmas favourite song, he use to sing it all the time to his Grandma when she was with us. We have a video of the cartoon film that goes with the song  and only up to a couple of years ago we use to rig up the old VHS video player so we could re- watch this. I really must get it swapped to DVD or go on a hunt to find the film - we recorded it off the tv years ago We now have a dancing reindeer that sings this .Thank you for sharing  :))

Guess who with another guess what ... :o)  Me ... with another song!  This is one of my new favorite versions of a Christmas song.  Many of you may be familiar with this group, but I was I totally unaware of them until last year when one of my nieces introduced me to their Christmas songs.  I haven't heard a lot of their music, but I love this version of The Little Drummer Boy by Pentatonix (PTX), an American a cappella group ... xo

Well that was absolutely beautiful, Glo. LOVED it.  xo

Now, I hate to follow that wonderful song with the following, but this is my 'go to' song when I need a little cheer at Christmas.

I remember that song, but not the video.  I'd never seen it before.  I will say that Don thoroughly enjoyed it ... the video, I mean ... hahaha
