Totally agree, Karen. Thrilled to see three of my blankets in the distribution.

Pearl with Beauty From Ashes stopped by The Barn on May 16...

Pearl Prince who collected blankets for her crèche in Kya Sands.

One her way home she made a spur of the moment distribution.  KAS is reaching people in so many ways.

Today was one of those days where we felt strongly about reaching out to the men passing through our center to Kya Sands informal settlement to hand them a warm blanket and a little treat, Their smiles warmed our hearts, and one of them asked for an extra blanket for his wife and a newborn baby❤️. One small act of kindness goes a long way. Thank you Knit-a-square for being part of this story.

Here is the Beauty From Ashes Creche distribution made later on May 16.

50 Blankets and 50 Beanies were handed out this week to our ECD, Youth program, and Ladies and Men in Kya Sands. Thank you Knit a Square for the blankets handmade with love.

Oh I love this!! Happy tears.   We do make such a difference to all ages!

Another unique KAS distribution:

We sent four blankets to VISIOMED EYE LASER CLINIC. Dr Roux travels to Venda about 450km from Johannesburg to operate on the Gogos. The staff of Visiomed crochet blankets for all the patients they operate on.

Vivienne and Themba heading out in our trusty KASVan on May 16 to make this wonderful distribution.

Thank you both!

Herewith the promised pics from a Day Care in Mapetla, Soweto.
This last pic is of the most charming thank you letter we received from Mabel
Mashaba who runs the creche.
It is just precious - a real keeper !!

Oh precious little treasures all bundled up in our makes.   Tremendous colours, smiles and I note a few of my hats too ❤️

Thank you so very much for these pics and report.  It's very humbling to belong to the KAS family and see these precious little people wrapped in KAS love ... xo

Wandi and Themba hit the road again on May 23 for this very colorful distribution.

Wandi thank you for the wonderful photographs.

Excellent!   I think I spot Chris Chiplen's purple + green crochet blanket wrapped around a child ❤️

CREATECARE GLOBAL

"CreateCare Global has set itself two tasks. The first is physical: to bring hope, support and comfort to children for whom poverty and loss are everyday tormentors. The second, and in our view equally important, is to spread the message to the world."

Our thanks to CreateCare Global for supporting the Square Circle Forum and helping to spread the wonderful work that KAS does.
