I always feel insecure, no self-confidence when I have to write in English! (Help!) So Patricia it was not my intention to correct YOU, it was just a question and I always love to learn more when it concerns the English language, also grammar, it differs sooo much from Dutch! I am always afraid I use the wrong words and the wrong order in writing :)

I'm only teasing you, Anneke - your English is superb. I think people from different regions often have different ways of expressing themselves anyway, just to complicate matters further!

Oh thank you Patricia! Teasing is fun! And now I am teasing you: So, it means that whatever word I use: number, amount, variety or doesn't matter at all, my English will always be perfect then? E.g.: There was a tally of contributors from the UK :))))))

Well, to be serious now, I appreciate your explanation that people from different regions have different ways of expressing themselves! It will make life easier for me when it comes to writing in English! (Happy dance!)

In fact it is the same here, different regions, different expressions :)

Thank you Anneke! Good to see 3 parcels from me. Thanks for letting me know earlier that they had arrived too. Hopefully the blankets in those parcels will soon be warming children.

Hi Wendy, I am more than happy for you and the children! xo

Glad to see my 4 parcels have arrived already.

4 parcels,180 squares! You make 5 children warm and happy! xo

Fantastic statistics!!    Very pleasing indeed to see my name on this list, always a thrill, happy dance!

5 parcels! 241 squares! you make 6 children warm and happy! xo

great to see that my parcel of squares arrived.  I have a load more ready to parcel up and post off.  Just wondering when you will close the barn as I do not want to get caught up in the Christmas break

Hi Rebecca, please read about closing and opening during December2021-January 2022, the Christmas break, in the Mods team section, Amy has written a message about it.

The October Squares List is available.

Monthly totals:

During October we recorded 183 parcels containing 16,548 squares, equal to 472 blankets.

Many other items were received, such as hats, hand-warmers, go-overs, cuddly toys and more.

Please - if you like-  take a look at discussion page "The Barn 2021" , if not yet recorded on the Squares List maybe you can spot your items there. Piles and piles of blankets, hats, squares, hand warmers and toys!
