Well done everyone! The figures continue to grow year-on-year. They represent hours of caring, kindness and giving by a 'global family' of yarn workers! The January Jewel Challenge is already getting the squares & hats flowing!
Below are the totals (so far) for 2011 - once the square lists for Nov & Dec are published I'll continue to update these figures - which are a combination of Forum totals and the Square List (which only lists Squares, Hats, Vests & Sweaters) plus Ravelry keeps it own list. In fact, more is being sent, but at least the figures below will give a fair idea.

Don't know how to add to list so someone please add 40 plastic sewing needles. I won the bid on e-bay on 9/10 and 9/14 of 20 needles ea. with free shipping to S.A. I did this before and it took about 6 weeks from China but they arrived.
I posted today, 40 squares, 52 pairs of socks, 8 t-shirts, 5 soft toys, 2 hats and 1 sweater. I have more to pack up, but wanted to get these in the post. I'm also adding in Jan Wilcox's 40 needles for her.

What an amazing amount/variety of goodies, Mary Anne...you are a STAR!!!!!
Thank you Bev, I'm so glad you noticed, it means a lot! I can't take credit for all the squares and socks, I've had many donations. But I'm covering the postage for multiple people now and I'm excited by the quantity. I've started leading a crochet group at our library as well and hoping to generate some more interest there!
You are always there to show your support to everyone Bev and thank you again for that!!
XOXO

We've nearly got 1000 pairs of socks too ! Amazing !
Yes, I've been watching the sock tally rise too, Sue....isn't it fantastic to think that already nearly 1000 children have warmer feet thanks to all we KASfolk.. Hip hip HORRAY!!!! ....not to mention of course, those who lovingly knit and crochet the slippers!!! So...over 1000 children.
Fantastic package Wendy and I agree with Sue and Bev, how awesome to see all of these socks! I have at least enough here to make it 1000, still waiting to get packed up to mail LOL! I've found socks to be a great thing for friends to contribute :o)
