Well done everyone! The figures continue to grow year-on-year. They represent hours of caring, kindness and giving by a 'global family' of yarn workers! The January Jewel Challenge is already getting the squares & hats flowing!
Below are the totals (so far) for 2011 - once the square lists for Nov & Dec are published I'll continue to update these figures - which are a combination of Forum totals and the Square List (which only lists Squares, Hats, Vests & Sweaters) plus Ravelry keeps it own list. In fact, more is being sent, but at least the figures below will give a fair idea.

I've been asking this question in other places on the forum, so I thought I would try here and see if anyone knows the answer. If I were to order under-things online and have them shipped directly to S.A., would that create a fee or tariff for KAS when it arrived? I am guessing it would, but I wanted to double check. I "buried" them all in the parcels above, which was challenging LOL. Just looking for a more efficient method, but if this is still the best way, I will certainly be happy to continue that way :o)!
Mary Anne, I think your way of sending under-things as 'slip-ins' in your knitting parcels is the best way for now. We need to be so careful that everything we send has "no commercial value" and we snip off all labels and remove all packaging from puchased items so they qualify as 'used'. Things shipped directly from a an online store might possibly attract customs duty when they arrive. Thanks for all you do!
Thanks Anne! I was pretty sure this was the case, but figured I would double check. I would love to get online and go a little shopping crazy LOL! Maybe when they get the importer license we will be able to do that ;o)
Thanks again! XOXO
Yay!! and a HUGE well done, to you three loving and generous ladies (Mary Anne, Ann and LJ).....that is a fantastic contribution.
