Well done everyone!  The figures continue to grow year-on-year. They represent hours of caring, kindness and giving by a 'global family' of yarn workers!  The January Jewel Challenge is already getting the squares & hats flowing!

Below are the totals (so far) for 2011 - once the square lists for Nov & Dec are published I'll continue to update these figures - which are a combination of Forum totals and the Square List (which only lists Squares, Hats, Vests & Sweaters) plus Ravelry keeps it own list.  In fact, more is being sent, but at least the figures below will give a fair idea.

Great parcel, Mary. Won't there be lots of oohs and aahs when they see your lovely little sweaters with matching hats??!!!!

Hi ladies, just parcelled up 90 squares, 3 exercise books, 2 colouring books and two activity books which I will be posting tomorrow. Would someone please be able to add these to the tally as I haven't tried the cut and paste thingo yet. Thanks and cheers and God Bless to all you lovely people in KAS.

Adding in for Norma: I'm not sure if the 'book' tally refers to all books or just reading books, but I will add Norma's  exercise and activity books there, nonetheless. :)) Wonderful, wonderful, parcel, Norma...by the way. That is a fantastic amount of squares and the books will be soooo appreciated by Rhonda and the team and of course not forgetting the little children.

That's terrific Anne! Socks are so important!

Yes, I've been looking out for deals on socks since we keep hearing that it's a very cold winter this year in SA.  Poor kids!

Thanks so much Bev for adding those for me, also thanks for everything you do for everyone else as well!! Seems like there's always one of us getting you to do something. It's wonderful to see what everyone else is doing and how the tally is going up. The ladies (and gents) on here are so creative. I might get round to knitting some of the other items on the wish list, but must say since I started in Feb I've enjoyed seeing my squares pile mount up!! After not knitting for quite a number of years, I've already got a stash of lovely colours. Doing a couple of squares most days really does soon add up, and I'm happy to have got my second parcel of 90 squares off.

I agree with you, Norma.  Bev gets us going with her early morning comments and good works.  And if we knit/crochet every day, it soon adds up.

Thank you Norma and Mili for your kind words.
