Well done everyone! The figures continue to grow year-on-year. They represent hours of caring, kindness and giving by a 'global family' of yarn workers! The January Jewel Challenge is already getting the squares & hats flowing!
Below are the totals (so far) for 2011 - once the square lists for Nov & Dec are published I'll continue to update these figures - which are a combination of Forum totals and the Square List (which only lists Squares, Hats, Vests & Sweaters) plus Ravelry keeps it own list. In fact, more is being sent, but at least the figures below will give a fair idea.

Not sure what has gone wrong, but the totals on some of the items appear to have gone backwards???? and some items have disappeared.
Oh - and I was just about to add items of a package I am putting in the mail today:
11 squares
36 hats
6 sweaters
13 soft toys
2 pairs socks...
If someone could add them in, please? I don't want to be the one to get this all mixed up...
And it appears that some of the squares that were added in did not change the totals, which remained the same through several postings.
Hi everyone!
I'm just off to post 3 hats and 10 squares.could someone add them to the tally for me please?.. many thanks....x
Hi Everyone
Our square count got a little off-skew.. so I have gone back to Jeanne's posting of Feb 28 and added all squares and other items. Bev did the totals the other day and all items I counted agree with hers.. except the squares...I think we have an accurate count as of right now and this includes Mary Kristel's and Jacqui's posting in the last day. Our current count now is

Hi Anne
When I did the squares total it did not include Jacqui's 10 squares, as she hadn't added them in then, so after adding them I make it 84 276...the same total as yours. YAY!!! We agree....I, too went back to Jeanne's posting. :)
Feels good to come up with the same total!!!! Do you think this puts us in the running for the Nobel prize in Mathmatics???
Absolutely, Nobel Math prize for you both!!
and thanks!
As wonderful as that sounds, Anne....it is highly unlikely I feel!! lol. :)
Great. Then I add up the 16 squares I posted yesterday :)
