Well done everyone! The figures continue to grow year-on-year. They represent hours of caring, kindness and giving by a 'global family' of yarn workers! The January Jewel Challenge is already getting the squares & hats flowing!
Below are the totals (so far) for 2011 - once the square lists for Nov & Dec are published I'll continue to update these figures - which are a combination of Forum totals and the Square List (which only lists Squares, Hats, Vests & Sweaters) plus Ravelry keeps it own list. In fact, more is being sent, but at least the figures below will give a fair idea.

Hi,
Have been following the updates for this list and just noticed today that somehow 'books' has been droppped from the list (back on page 11 of the posts). Was this accidental?
I have also wondered if it might make updates easier if the list were adjusted slightly?
For example I noticed '1 jumper' has been added, and couldn't this be added in with sweaters? (as it is more or less the same thing just with a different name).
I also wondered if perhaps 'snoods and cowls' could be removed as there never seems to be anything added to that total?
Perhaps Pens and Pencils could also be combined?
What does everyone think?
Hi Wendy
Yes, I agree...the list seems to have grown rather long....perhaps that is how the books got missed....I always cut/paste the list (after I had some assistance from Christine :P ), but maybe not everyone does.
I am also unsure what is classed as a bit and bob??? I send puzzles, s/ropes, other small activity-type gadgets and stickers and may list them in my spiel of what I am sending, but don't actually add them to any list.
Ready to go from Australia, 31 squares, 1Kas Cuddle, 2 vests, 3 sweaters, 1 go-over, 7 beanies, 100 plastic needles, 9 Crochet hooks. I hope I have added these correctly ... i am assuming we just add our items to the current tally ... is that so ?? Could some one let me know if this is right please. kind regards, Robyn.

I hope I have copied this right! i have sent two lots of 20 squares recently so added 40.

Yay! 40 squares...another child warmed..Well done, Sue.
Looks right to me.
Hi Robyn
Yes that is correct. I usually cut and paste the list into a 'new' reply and then make the adjustments to the items on the list that I have made... adding on the quantities.
