hello all my lovely KAS friends, we had another late start again this year but its time to get this tally rolling (I imagine that some of you have been patiently waiting, wondering, 'where is that tally?" for a while.
by now, many of you know the drill - when its time for you to add your items, take a look at the most recent reply and add your items to that total, then post the new total in your comment. if you need help, then tell us what you made and how many, and somebody will add them in for you.
we also have a tally over in ravelry going as well, and if you are also a ravelry KAS member then please do not add your items to both tallies as it will throw off our results.
now lets get this going.

I think our squares total went "off skew" a few messages ago. By my count it should read 12275..... anyone want to check my math???
Linda - noticed you added your squares to the Knit-a-Squillion tally too... Good idea... why don't we just record our squares and other stuff in this tally and report our "squares only" in the Squillion discussion along with our tally of new knitters? Think that would work without too much confusion??
I agree Anne, especially for anyone who is new to KAS. Best to focus on the Knit-a-Squillion Challenge and see that figure build. Have suggested to Kalai that we close this Tally. Lovely to see you back on the Forum, and, to know that you are returned to full health.
Hi Pam
It really IS a bit of a conundrum, isn't it? If we close the 2011 tally, folks will want to record their other stuff in the Squillion Tally and it's really just for squares and for recording new groups and the number of folks we have passed the challenge flyer to.... plus the fact that it is a one year challenge that goes to next July.
On the other hand, recording squares sent, in two places, could cause confusion for new members.
What to do??? Maybe some others will have some thoughts... and hopefully Kalai will have some words of wisdom.
Yes, Anne, the totals were a bit off. I've updated them.
12,275 squares
512 hats
12 baby blankets
47 KASCuddkles
15 prs. gloves
47slipovers
2 tee shirts
4 blankets
3 snood/cowls
104 soft toys
5 scarves
1 slippers
9 sweaters
2 baby jackets
When we update we need to remember to start a new line. Also, it is easier to transfer the totals if we copy and paste. Then we only need to change the # rather than type in the whole list again.

Because of PayPal/banking fees, KAS asks that your donation be 5USD [or more]. Anything less, means your donation is eaten up with fees. Thank you!
